daughters 85 jimmy 2L auto, will not shift out of low gear. has one green wire on drivers side, an no visual vac. lines. have 3 vacume lines going to trans.case. any possible quik fix witout removeing tranny?
Oh man elm that sucks! Try putting it in reverse and two wheel. Back up about two feet if no noise you're probably ok. Also check your tire sizes, if the rear are taller than the front or vise versa, that will screw the gears all up. Same thing happened to my Jimmy when I had two tires put on. The morons put on 235/75/15 instead of 235/70/15 like on the front. Put the car in 4hi and wheeeeeee uurrrrrrr pop! Put it in reverse and it was ok.
If thats not it, then try unplugging all vacum lines one at a time a reconnecting.
