I just ordered a set of 285/75R16 Super Swamper trXus tires. I am planning to put them on my stock 1999 1500 sport, will i be able to fit them stock, or will i have to get the 2" spacer?
I've been running 285/75/16 BFG ATs for 50,000 miles on my 1998 Ram 4x4. The only rubbing I have is at extreme steering lock and its just on the control arms. No problem.
My 1998 is a sport. I think your truck has the newer sport bumper but I don't see how that could effect your tire clearance. There are plenty of guys running 285/75/16s and 305/70/16s on stock 1500 Ram 4x4s. I am considering getting the daystar 2 inch spacers installed to level out the truck and maybe install 295/75/16s or 305/70/16s.
