Rule of thumb: If you can feel the scratch while running your fingernail over it, than it's probably too deep to remove with a rubbing compound!

Yeah, I agree on the buffer. Just offer to buff a friends ride before yours so it's not your paint you accidently burn when learning!! LOL (just kidding!)
