Whats this noise

When I get on the gas it sounds like water is rushing on the passenger side from either the engine bay or dash. It has done it since I've had the truck it's just now bothering me a lot. Is it normal or is something wrong? Any idea what it may be? You don't hear it with the music up but it's very noticable with it turned off.

Could be the vents getting re-directed to defrost under load, or possibly your air intake on the engine. Those are my first two guesses.
I have the same thing!! Its only when I start the truck cold, and it only does it for maybe the first 10 feet of movement. It sounds like water rushing right in the middle of the dash, I'm dumbfounded as to what it could be.
Mine does it some even after running a while not as much though. It seems to do it more when cold also but I'm not sure.

I don't think it's the air intake I can hear that and know what that sounds like and this sounds like something else. Sounds exactly like water rushing it does it some when sitting still revving it also.
Mine does it for like the first few seconds after I start it cold in the morning. I a$$ume that it is the coolant flowing into the heater core. Maybe you are low on coolant so it has air in it and alwayts makes a movement sound because it can't build pressure? Just a guess.
:withstupid: that would be my guess as well...but the t-stat should be in the closed (cold) position when the truck is first started, I don't know if that would allow sufficient flow to make the sound you are describing.
my dakota does it and so does my g-pa's ram but i got used to it cause you can barly hear it anyway. it sounds exactly what u guys said, sounds like there's water runnin threw the center of the dash, but it doesn't bother me.
ITS THE COOLANT IN THE HEATER CORE....IF YOU DONT HEAR IT, THEN YOU NEED TO WORRY. THIS IS PERFECTLY NORMAL.....NUFF SAID!
