I am planning on slowly upgrading my stereo. I first plan, for christmas, to get 4 new speaker for the doors. Correct me if i am wrong, but the rear speakers are 5 1/4" right? ('99 Ram QC 5.9 4x4) But i am not sure what my front ones are i just looked throught the slotted holes in the doors and they are definitely larger than the rear ones and look oval. Does anyone know the size of the fronts?

I'm pretty sure they are 6x9's from what I have read. I've never taken the doors off to check for myself though.
They are 6x9's.
are the backs 5 1/4"? I went on crutchfield and it said 6 1/2" in the back for the infinity, but how do you know if you have the infinity system or not, if the one in the front are 6x9" does that mean you have the infinity system? Because i know for sure that they are at least 6x9 or larger.

Thanks

You have 6X9's up front and 6 1/2's in the rear.
If you have Infinity it would say it on the radio, and you'd have tweeters on the A-Pillar. My 2000 QC truck has 6x9s in the front with A-pillar tweeters, and 5.25s in the back.
My '01 QC has 6x9's in the front and 5 1/4's in the rear. There are just a couple of phillips head screws on each panel, 2 by the door pull in the rear, one on the door handle in front, and one up by the mirror adjustment handle (if you have those). I would strongly reccomend you buying one of those door panel tools... well worth the $5 to save the panels, the xmas tree inserts, your fingers, and your time IMHO! Be careful with the depth of the front speakers as too big a magnet on them could interfere with the window operation.
rears are 5.25" but you can easily fit 6.5" speakers.

and agreed, get yourself a door trim removal tool, you will be glad you did.

and on the fronts, they are 6x9 like said above, but like mentioned above, some are too deep for our doors. BUT, some can be shimmed out with some spacers (washers) if they are close enough, as the door panel can flex out a little.
The Infinity option is the speaker syatem and don`t really have anything to do with the head unit . My 99 had the steering wheel controls CD/casette and my 2000 has no steering wheel controls and no casette neither one said a word about Infinity but both have it . If you have tweeters built into the A pillars you have the Infinity system . the amps are mounted on the 6x9 speakers in the door . Head units can be easily upgraded to after market easily
