Looking for a decent manual tube bender capable of 2" tubing.
Any recommendations?

1 die cost as much as the tube bender

That's the one I have. It does give you a hell of a workout but I like it and you can always upgrade to the hydro set up down the road when money permits. And you are right. the dies are big $$$. I just got the 1.5" 5.5 and the 1.75" 6.5 dies.

could you do some .25 wall tube with this one or not. and the dies the 5.5" and 6.5" stands for how much ;ength a corner will add, or what does it mean.
Yeah, I have been looking at the JD2 modle 3 bender and the pro-tool 105. I think I am going to go for the JD2. Pro-tool wants about $300 for the bender +$118 just for a degree wheel+ $275 dies.

The JD2 is $295 and the dies run about $250 and it comes with a degree wheel. The only advantage I think the Prtools has is you can get the heavy duty model with 5/8" rather than 1/2" side plates. The standard Protools has 1/2" side plates just like the JD2.

5.5" or 6.5" CLR = Center Line Radius of the die, and indicates the tightest bend that die can bend, and yeah these will bend .250 wall tube with no problem.

From JD2.com "the Model 3 has successfully bent solid 1 1/2" diameter steel bars during testing"
I got my Pro 105HD from Keith at XtremeCrawlers.com, he has great package deals and gives a great wheeler discount. I got the bender, die, nothcer, and BendTech 3D software, for $1100. He had the best prices on just the bender/die combo..check his site out and send him a message. He beat his own online prices for me...
