what size is the torx bit that fits the tranny filter?

Also, when I install the pan, filter, and RTV, how long do I need to wait before adding fluid?
Should I wait an hour or so to let the RTV (red) setup?

I am also putting some RTV around the drain plug/sender unit I have put together.
Did most of yall mount them in the side or on the bottom? I am wondering because I do not want the sender unit (about 1 1/2 inches long) to interfere with the tranny operations.

thanks

you're not suppose to put rtv on the pan gasket. and ya, wait an hour or so. i'm not sure what size that is, but i have the fold out kind that has like 7 different sizes on it from sears. one of those worked.

MIke.

that's the first place i looked, but it doesn't list the size. I have changed/serviced the tranny before but I don't remember what size it is.

I have a set that (I borrowed from the shop) of 10 that go from T10 to T50, so it should be one of those.

I'll make a note of what size it is and post it up when I'm done later.

:withstupid: I believe it was the 20, it was the 3rd from the smallest in my set (which starts at 10 and goes up in increments of 5 IIRC)
