I was looking at BFG tire size chart, looking for an ACTUAL 33" tire, the AT 295/75/16 is 33.5 with 11.6 width, the 315 is 34.7 with a 12.1 width.
The MT has a 285 that is 33.1 a 305 that is 33.1 and a 315 that is 34.8. why do they make a 295 in the AT and a 305 on the MT. My pro comp AT's 265's are listed as 31.7 diameter but only measure 31" . is a 315, 34.7 or are something a little smaller, and will they fit a 3" lift without rubbing, i know alot of this depends on the wheel, but i dont know if i want a 16x10 or a 16x 8, does anybody know of a good combo for a 3" lift with the beefiest tire possible.my truck will fit a 285 easily stock so from the math with a 3" lift a 35" should fit, but it doesnt (easily). this stuff sometimes confuses the shyt out of me.

It all depends on the manufacturer. Also, the newer trucks come equiped with 16"-17" wheels and the manufacturers are fabricating newer size tires to accomodate the new wheel sizes. There will be more 15" combination sizes than the 16" or 17" tires. It also depends on the size wheel you mount the tire on. A narrower wheel will give you height, where as a wider wheel will give you width. An example would be a 35/12.50/16 (315/75/16)tire on a 16X8 wheel would measure 35", but the same tire on a 16X10 wheel would have less height. I know for a fact that Interco Super Swampers are taller than what they are rated at. Good Luck! <IMG SRC="/board/images/smilies/bigthumbup.gif">

I ran 285/75/R16 Super Swamper SSR's on my stock rims and the SSR's run large and measure 34" and I ran them with a 3" Skyjacker lift and for the love of god I could not get them to rub! I will try to dig up a pic!!!

i am leaning towards the rancho 3" lift anybody running this setup is it good, it seems to be the cheapest but i dont know if thats a good thing or not. 4 wheel parts gives me the option of upgrading the rs5000 shocks to the rs9000, should i stay with the 5000 or up to the 9000, this will be mainly street driven.
tire wise i amlooking at the 295 bfg at or the 305 mt, unless somebody knows of a godd wheel tire combo where a 315 bfg at will fit a 16x8 wheel with no rubbing. still undecided yet.
