Swampers usally have to be weighted alot when they are balanced because they have bigger tread than most street tires. A friend of mine said something about breaking the bead, running the tire out on the rim and that will balance it without weights. I would like to know if this is true because my tires have alot of weight on the rims.

It won't get rid of all the weight in most cases, but it can help. You have to rotate the tire around the rim till it needs less weight. You will still have to put weights on but not as much.

Diesel you are right..I had a swamper that wanted 18oz. we broke the bead turn the tire 180 degrees on the rim and rebalanced, it only took 10oz then. The rim and tire must have been both off in the same area.
