What do u mean by "tilthood"... a hood that opens like normal hoods do, or one like the corvette's have that the hood leans forward to expose the engine bay more?

If you are looking for the latter (Corvette type hood) go look thru your local junkyards for some older buicks (70's-80's). A couple of them had lean hoods like that. Steal the brackets off those hoods and fabricate them into your truck. Thats actually not a 1/2 bad idea

Now you got me thinking. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a quick release tho for on the stock hood hinges. Something that once I open the hood up I could pull pins or something and rest the hood back on the roof similar to what the Jeeps have. Might even go to a Jeep style hood mount? Humm........

Chris,
You may have something there.... you could use a quick release or easier way to get under that hood of yours... since you are always under it...
anyway at least your truck is on the road....

Hey Greyghost
Your best bet for a tilt hood is one offered by a company such as; US Body Source; http://www.usbody.com/WhereQualityComesFirst.htm
It will be a pain to get your metal hood to tilt and stay stiff enough, especially in a truck which will off road and flex it's frame.
