Throttle valve cable

Well i found out one of my problems on truck the throttle valve cable is shot its practically frozen in place so its functionless which in turnt to my readings equals dicked up shifting. Im going to try to track down one at dealer tomm. anyone know if these is a fairly cheap part? And is it usually a stocked item or something that needs to be ordered? Thanks, seems like it would be easy to replace.
