The bad,Down here in Floyd New Mexico we have a brush fire raging out of control. My house is burning down, built by my grandfathers hands. The house is gone . Nothing salvageable. The unbearable; my 4 prized posessions and friends are dead . 4 registered quarter horses, One my grandfathers last brood mare and her colt :bluecry: All gone from smoke inhalation or burned to death. :cuss: The damned state police wouldnt let me though to my horses. So i got in my CTD and cut across 5 miles of burnng fields, through fences, To get to my horses. I had to put the last 2 down and then get out. :bluecry: And this fire originated in the white sands melrose bombing range aka usaf. Sorry for ranting just so utterly upset and ready to just go get :drinking: so i can forget it all. thank yall for listening

Man, that is horrible. I'm glad you are alright, and hopefully insurance helps cover your losses. That is really terrible though. Let us know if you need anything.

Sorry to hear about that. When you were talking about driving through flames, I thought of that scene from Dante's Peak. Where the suburban drives through the lava and melts it's tires. But seriously, I hope everything works out.

UPDATE, The day after.

Went to the house today , or should i say lack therof. :cuss: Pretty much a total loss. My HOrses as before stated are gone. 1987 Mustang 460 BB Melted down. 110 octane and Fire do not mix , Hatch blown off car  HOuse is demolished Most papers and guns were in my firebox or gun safe and are no worse for wear. :bigthumb: Shop is gone :bluecry: tools though blackened might still be good. lol.. I am now facing the fact and guess i will rebuild with the insurance money . thank God for that. The Bad . I am being charged by the state police with the following- Reckless endangerment, destruction of property, Failure to comply, and a whole bunch of other trumped up charges. Talk about kickin a feller when he is down.Thats about it ttyl

sounds like you need to make a call to teh media explaining how they failed to let you on your property when it was "still safe"

btw, who did you "recklessly endanger"? you complied wiht what they told you , tha tyou could not go down that road to your home, never said anything about blazing your own trail.

The police tried to stop me , And followed me for a lil bit, offroadin it then followed me into the fire and since they were in persuit of me i endangered their lives . :rotfl: they told me to turn around and leave so i turned left and went through the fence. I have a very good lawyer every thing will ok. :slap:

It stared on the Cannon Air force Base white sands bombing range about 10 miles from here . Only burned about 50,000 Acres of crp and farmland :argue:

Yeah on a later thought Driving in the flames with ALOT of Fuel was a horrible Idea :bad: Great news, Wonerful News. Cannon Air Force Base Released a Statment and it goes something like this.

The Fire in Roosevelt County is soley the responsibility of Cannon AFB. The Fire originated from a misfired missile on the White Sands Bombing Range. Any structural or fence damages will be covered wholey by The USAF.

I copied this out of the paper and summerized it so work with me.

I am so relieved and happy . Although my horses cannot be replaced i respect the USAF stepping foreward and taking the blame. I bet uncle sam is doing this to CAFB :twak:
