A nice flogged Blazer that everyone laughed at and let sit stuck. We came along and Jeepman's dad winched him out with the Jeep. We used Ed's Bronco as an anchor for the Jeep.

Dipstick of the day #2... let's flog a new style BONE STOCK Chevy in sum nasty ice. In my opinion this guy deserved to stay stuck.... but someone was kind enuff to strap him out with a MONSTER of a Ford !

All in all there were over 100 trucks up here.. if not 200 at any given point. I have NEVER seen a 2 mile long traffic jam on a trail until this event. WOW... It was a great time.... it was COLD AS HELL !!!! So cold that my beer was freezing solid as I was drinking it. After rescuing a Jeep, we made with the fire ASAP.

I am warming the boys over a nice starter flame.... oh yeah I am sporting my PS.com hoodie which ROCKED to keep my ears from freezing SOLID ! I am gonna get some ones for TruckPorn SOON.

The next day as we were on our way out of town to find Croberts and drag him out to wheel Orviston with us... well we got SIDETRACKED....

I dunno HOW that coulda possibly happened.

After grabbing a case of beer for the road (no we weren't drinkning and driving.. we had a designated driver)... we headed down towards Orviston.

Well that is when the Altenator in the K5 died and left us sitting with no heat and dead truck at a small general store in the middle of no where. 2 hours and lots of beer/laughter later... the wrecker from AAA finally showed and got us to parts store for new altenator.

Got the Alt on and found dead battery.... Place wanted $90 for a new battery.. we decided against it and left with Jeepman96 to go back to his house to crash for the night. Today we went to AutoZone and had battery tested/charged... put back in and we were on our way home.

Well about 30 minutes till we were home the battery started to die again. We got home safely, shut off and that was all she wrote. Altenator #2 was defective. Yippie !

All in all.... some stuff needs to be done to the K5.. but she held up well to a ton of weather abuse..... and well one two foot high launching up an obsticle !

I am gonna bet you that you DO NOT wish it was THAT cold out though to go with the snow...

like 10 degrees out.. then factor in like wind chill.... winds at like 30-40MPH.... COLD !!!

The old K5 Jeff and I built a few years ago had a bunch of problems and Jeffy got sick of it and traded it for some parts for his Ram. Eventually the guy that got it redid it all and then afer time I think blew it up or something and parted it to build one of his other K5's.

This is an original AZ truck that he happened across and traded his old S10 Blazer for straight up.

He gave it to his oldest son who is 16 and is now building it up with Jeffs guidance.

This one is doing well, but then again there isn't as many hands in the pot during the build.

As far as this place.. it is up in Altoona, PA.

Well he was stupid enuff to drive his bone stock Chevy into that hole....

Guess he thought his ruff n tuff grill guard was gonna allow him to plow down anything in his path 'al A-Team Style....
