December 10, 2005.
Pasadena Fairgrounds (Rodeo arena area.)
Enter at gate 5 off Fairmont Parkway and follow the road around.
Try to be there by 10:30 am or be prepared to sit in traffic and see the big parade.
Activities include live music, chili cook off, custom bike show, lot's of vendors, Santa Claus, rock wall, games, activity area for the youngsters, Live auction with some VERY cool stuff for bid, lot's of raffles.
Channel 26 TV is going to be there Friday and Sat, FM 107.5 broadcasting live, other radio stations advertising the event, local newspaper coverage, Greensheet, etc.
We have very nice trophies for all classes through 3rd place as well as participant trophies for the young ones that bring their "rigs". Shannon (TACOZILLA on here, PS.com) is getting another winch to raffle as well as a few door prizes. We are doing our Show and Shine in the South parking lot, which is the main entrance to THEIR show so will get us good exposure.
If you ride a bike, the Toy ride committee has invited you to come ride in the parade, if you like. It leaves Walter Hall Park in League City with police/sherriffs escort at 11am. Contact me or Shannon for details.
If you can, bring door prize, raffle items, friends, family, kids, and lot's of toys. It costs at least one unwrapped new toy to get into the show.....like to see a pile from our folks again.
This is not just for biker types or 4x4 freaks like us...everyone is invited and it ALL benefits the USMC Reserve Toys For Tots. If the weather is decent, they are realistically expecting 2-3,000 motorcycles in the parade and hoping to raise 35-40K to spend at Toys R Us as well as 2 semi's full of toys from show participants. Thanks again in advance for your participation and let us know if you have questions.
If you have any questions, let me know and I'll forward'em along and get'em answered for ya.
