I sprayed it with penatrating oil and rented a quality puller. It sucked but it did come off after a while. You may want to give it a little smack with a 3lb sledge after each attempt with the puller (Not to hard).
Do as Topper has just listed and it will come off. Had the same problem when mine was pulled off the first time. Quick tip to help for next time. When you install it put it on with some sort of corrosion inhibitter (LPS#3, Mastinox, Parker O Lube, Tri Flow ect.) Were you can buy that stuff in the US I don't know? And what project are you doing?
