if you engine still runs after a couple days. to imagine what it sounds like, think of what a truck with straight pipes sounds like, then multiply it by 100 times, thats not really a good thing. horsepower... you will prolly loose a good 15-20. you may very well float some valve while you are at it too
it depends on how big your motor is.......i have a big block in my chevelle and it is really loud
its a 318, and nevermind, if it'll hurt the engine in any way i wont even try it

yeah, its not a good idea. having no backpressure on the engine can lead to some malfunctions
:withstupid: I had mine open on the way to the muffler shop and it's too loud...and that's not something I say very often, but it was obnoxious.
Even with the Magnaflow cat system hooked up I still had to throw a flowmaster on there to make it bearable. Did not like having to yell to talk inside the cab.
Do yall kno anything about the electric cutout?? My exhaust is simply headers into a cat and a turndown right after the cat but it still isnt loud enough for me, but i have to pass emissions. I was thinkin i might get the electric cutout if i could put it on before the cat.
get a hearing aid
Are you sure it will hurt anything bosco? I know running no exhaust at all including headers can crack a valve because of the cool air that can come in contact with the hot valves, but having his manifolds or headers on there would solve that problem. As far as no backpressure, that would just cut down on lowend torque but help with top end HP. Also I don't see how that would cause you to float a valve unless you are overrevving it, I mean your valve springs aren't going to become weaker because of no exhaust. There are tons of people who run open headers at the track and rev there engines to the heavens with no problems as well as many hotrodders. Please correct me if you think I'm totally wrong here.
IT WILL BE LOUD AND SOUND LIKE POOP!!!! I just drove mine today for the first time in almost 6 months, and it sounds like straight dog nuts. Of course, it's a v10 so it's going to sound worse. Add to that having nothing but headers. Good god. I would never wish that noise on anyone.
