Will 285s rub more or less if I switch from the stock 16x7 rims to 16x8 rims with the stock 4.5 inch backspacing? How about 305s? Will daystars eliminate the control arm rubbing at full steering lock? I have been looking at the MT Classic II and American Racing Baja rims as a replacement for the stock 16x7 rims. Opinions?

i have 305's on my ram with daystars and have no rubbing anywhere. even without the daystars the 305's didnt hit the control arms at full lock. thats on a 16X10 rim and its on an off-road.

What backspacing are your 16x10 rims?

How far does your setup stick out from the fenders?

When you run a wider wheel than the previous wheel, the overall tire diameter will decrease. For example, a 35/12.50/15 tire on a 15X8 wheel will measure 35.4". If you mount the same size tire on a 15X10 wheel, the overall tire diameter will measure 34.8" (this is just an example). The tire width will vary also, depending on the wheel width... :D:
