I'm looking for pictures of custom tranny crossmembers, with and without the t-case reindexed.

Thanks

Is that Superram's truck? Anybody know what happened to that guy?
I heard he sold his truck quite a while ago. Somebody asked about him last year and I believe that was the response.

Here is mine:

That thing looks really nice, is there some sort of reinforced brace or asomething under where you cut I a$$ume? dont know that much bout undersides of the ram.
The stock crossmember is extremely thin. Where we cut it, basically we took 4 pieces of 1/2" plate and boxed it all in. You can see the 3 pieces that make the "U" shape, and then there is one more underneath, which you can see in the picture with it installed. It's all painted so you can't even tell what isn't stock now when you look at it.

I ended up having to modify it again later, once I switched from a CV front driveshaft to dual U joints and used a yoke on the transfer case. That moves the mounting point back several inches and the driveshaft was able to hit the lip on the crossmember, so I had to notch it out pretty good. That won't be a problem with the new axles though.

You got any pics of that front driveshaft setup?

The new one? No, not any good ones. It's simple... as simple as a driveshaft can be. Regular fixed yoke on the transfer case, 1350 super flex U joint, a few feet of tube, another 1350 super flex U joint, 1350 yoke again. My driveshaft angle went from a little over 25 degrees to right about 21 degrees just from that one simple change. Plus it's a cheap driveshaft to build and repair.
Worked on mine this weekend. Phil Losh at searcher's 4wd did the welding for me.

I cut almost 2" off of my crossmember and reinforced it with diamondplate so I could tuck a sturdier skid plate on it that wouldn't hang down like the OEM's...

Why did you have to redo the crossmember? Does that have to be done when you install a reindex ring? I will be runnning 11"s of susp lift one day and I need to do something with my front DS.
After 7"-8" the front DS angle gets too steep so you have to reindex your t-case to flatten it out some either that or get a HP like me... :D:

I am running 8 now and it is fine. I havent had any problems with it all. Do you know if a reindex ring will be enough for 11"s of lift or will have I have to get a completely differenct shaft??
Couldn't tell you, never built a truck with 11" of lift. Never seen a reason to but I would guess your gonna need a custom shaft even with a index ring...
