watch a couple movies: "the rock" and "escape from alcatraz" then go see the island. its a really fun tour to see how they had things back then. its also fun to see the movies and say "i was there".
the cable cars are really cool to check out also. they have the cable car station that you can go check out the machine shop, and the routing of the cables and everything.
at night, you gotta walk around the sidewalks at the end piers. there are a bunch of resturaunts to eat at. the most amazing thing though is all the street performers. there are guys that whip out a really nice framable painting of things from sunsets to robots. they do everything with spray paints and papers.
aw don't worry about sticking out or not. They might think you are a tourist but so what? Sometimes it's more fun to do all the tourist stuff instead of looking like a local. Just enjoy yourself and when you come back tell us what a great time you had :bigthumb:On 2005-12-01 19:35, DeerHunter wrote:
Thanks yall...I'm not much into the big cities so I'm probably going to stand out like a sore thumb...especially in San Fran.
