i have a 2000 dodge and i have a 16.5 x 12 wheel....going with a 17" wheel is really gonna limit your tire size and style options...and you are gonna find less quality off road wheels in a 17 ( in my opinion)...just my 2 cents..

If I get 35" tires will a 3 in body lift work fine or do I need more space....or would a suspension lift be better...I want this truck BIG...(bigger)...any help is greatly appriciated...

On the 2002s, 35s shouldn't be hard to fit. DC claimed that 33s will fit stock.

So a very mild lift should be fine. 2-3" or so.

And I'd get a suspension lift over a body lift.

Look around on the net and see if you can find 3" lift spindles for a 2002. That's the best way to go with the IFS.

Sorry ninerman you can go anything below a 17 inch rim with the 2002 dodge unless you have single caliper brakes in the front and back which i doubt you have. I put 17x 8 MB motoring rims the MB 70 on my 2002 black dodge with the 285 70 17 bfg mud ter and it looks awsome. I noticed i had a lot of clearence and i should have went with the 33x1250's stock. take my advice i know cause i have one and got it done right!
