BRO!! i think you need to clean you K&N

How hard is it gonna be if you ever gotta pull your motor?
It Definatly looks better without all that B.S. under there :bigthumb:
i was debating on cleaning it right now, but since u mentioned it as well, i'll do it first thing when i have the chance. :D:
That ABS stuff can just be removed? It is not needed? What did you do with that sensor? Does the ABS light stay on?
yup can be removed. sensor? disconnected. light? i'd need a bulb for that first
i like how you never paint anything don makes for you and you just let rust eat away at it all
i like how you're still alive and driving that unsafe pos of yours :flipoff:

and its just surface rust. i'm going to be painting it soon actually.

p.s. my hood is covered with surface rust too.
i like how you have a rig that has beastly potential to be wheeled, but never is
what do you plan to do for smog?

never is because the build was never finished and then i crashed and {expletive}ed up my hand  i am not a dumbass to wheel a vehicle that i *know* still has several weak areas. if i was, then my name would be bosco. :D:

i'll wheel mine once its done. as it is right now, its still missing some stuff.

smog? not sure. play stupid with the check engine light? the truck passes smog, so i'll just go to some stupid place and play dumb :D:
point out a couple things for me... the weak areas on my truck, and what you have left you finish (im actually curious because as far as i knew your truck has been done)
i killed one PSC steering box after wheeling just a couple times. got replacement (installed) and hydro a$$ist (not installed yet). no point in beating on this box and risk the chance of killing it when i just have to pop the a$$ist in and be done.

brakes - my m/c doesn't have enough volume for the f150 brakes. after hydro a$$ist is installed, i'm going to go the hydroboost route. then i can actually stop on an incline AND in gear :D:

steering is really the biggest reason i haven't taken it out much yet. i've redone it probably 6-7 times. i wish i wouldn't listen to anyone though and did the tie rod over knuckle with tabs the first time, but everyone said it will have way too much play.

i only got my front driveshaft on this April, and since then had to go back in for 3 more surgeries. its a real slow build, especially since i have to drive it around everyday as a DD, so i can't just park it somewhere (nowhere to park it anyway) and work on it. when i got 4x4 working i still didn't even have bump-stops. and i did not want to top out my blingy 16" fox coilovers

i will wheel it. i won't beat the piss out of it because it cost me too much $$ and hard work, but i will wheel it, just with respect and care. :D:

my truck is ready as a DD, but there's still a couple issues left. soon though!

thats what i do.. but occasionaly the fun gets the best of me and i take it to the point where i wonder if something is about to give or explode on me.

you still didnt mention my "weak points" mother bitch :flipoff:
what steering setup are you talking about that you wish you would have just done? the currect one you have with the tie rod with a steering block on it? the main downfal i see to that is tie rod rotation and the side load that it puts on the pass side heim

bosco, you also have to figure that i'll be running hydro a$$ist, so there won't be all that much stress..

as for loading the heims? well i got some the strongest heims for that size from poly, real high load rating. i just simply can't picture how one of them will snap just because there's some twisting force. the main problem people kept saying is the rotation and handling, not strength. however with the handling i found that if you rotate it right enough, you can get rid of most slop..

your truck? Ok, here we go :flipoff: mind you its because i'm a pu$$y and don't like to have any doubts on my mind about a component on my truck.. from the pictures in this thread: http://www.pavementsucks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=83091

you should be, without question imo, running full hydro or at *least* hydro a$$ist. the amount of leverage you're putting on your steering box scares baby jesus :D: you should also redo your link geometry and get rid of the track bar. the reason most people don't go 3/4 link is the oil pan, but since you're so high you could clear it with no issues and get rid of that thing that drops down a foot that people call a trackbar :D: i think you should also lower your truck, maybe cut fenders to fit the tires (that's my route).. i think taking out the rear blocks and leveling the front would be cool. blah blah blah. i like your front axle though :D: :D:
