Just curious about Nissan's comercials. Down here they're slogan is "Nissan: driven by southern california". Do they say the same up there in northern cal?

Nissans can be built for off road. My friend built a 86 Nissan with a solid front axle, ford 302 V8, custom 7" suspension lift, and spools front and rear. That truck was a beast off road.

You know, come to think of it, I've NEVER seen any Nissan commercial... Oh wait, yes I have. I saw one for the new 4-door 4x4 s/c "longbed" [how do you get away calling a 6' bed long?] Where it's on the car carrier and then spins its tires and breaks off. That and the one where they pour all this brass and crap into a large vat, and then crack it and the frontier is in there.

Other than those two in the past week or so, never seen one.

For the Xterra they have the mountain bike dude using the firstaid kit, the "chairlift" commercial where they snowboard down a sand dune..Just curious, for those of you who wheel alot on well know places like hollister etc...do you see many Xterras or Pathfinder?

Yeah this is an old post. Driven by Northern California, yes I've seen that one. Also the Xterra First aid/mountain bike, the chairlift, broke the mold. I just don't FIT in the Nissan. I have seen an Xterra 'wheeling at Frank Raines OHV park in Patterson, Ca. before. Where is Sean (BlackX) anyway. That was the first and last time i've seen him.

Here's a friends Hardbody though. :D:

Even though I own a Jeep, I still like the Xterra's. They have a cool look to them and have some nice features. I especially like the new front end (round headlights. Hmmm, who else has round headlights? hehe)and the 4-spoke charcoal colored wheels. I saw a dark blue one like that the other day, and it looked killer. I also like that olive green looking color.

I also like thier add campaign. Although somewhat misleading, it totally hits the nail on the head as far as connecting with customers and setting a good image for the X.

I say somewhat misleading because (and no offense to any X owners!!) IFS, a 170hp V6, and 2.05 low range gearing do not make an offroad hero.

It IS good theat there are alot of aftermarket X parts, because they CAN be made to be capable offroad. It's just too bad that they came short changed from the factory like that.

Too bad they don't put the 240hp V6 from the Pathfinder in the X. Now that would ROCK. IFS or not, I'd probably want one of those.

Yep, Xterra's rock! My wife and I have a 01' with a lift and other stuff. Great for camping, biking etc. For IFS its still a capable rig. We even did Golden Spike,Gold Bar Rim, and Poision Spider Mesa in Moab. Granted thats at the upper end of what the X is capable of. Most of us run a 3" lift with 32's. BTW there is an Xterra out there "Project X" that has lockers front and rear as well as the 240hp Pathfinder engine.

So the x-terra and the pathfinder share the same suspension. Could an x-terra kit be used on a pathfiner?

I am searching for body lifts or suspension lifts for 2000+ pathfinder... Can't find anything.

Thanks
