So I get this email...twice. Is it a new scam, or is this legit? I went through PayPaldotcom instead of following the link, logged in, and it didn't say anything about it.

Dear PayPal User,

We recently noticed one or more attempts to log in to your PayPal
account from a foreign IP address.

If you recently accessed your account while traveling, the unusual log
in attempts may have been initiated by you. However, if you did not
initiate the log ins, please visit PayPal as soon as possible to verify
your account:

Changing your password is a security measure that will ensure that you
are the only person with access to the account.

Thanks for your patience as we work together to protect your account.

Sincerely,
PayPal

Remember all legit paypal or ebay E-mails say Dear (customers name) not paypal user or ebay user.

I always log into paypal through my bookmark instead of the link to check and see if there is anything wrong with my account. If I dont find anything when I log in then I delete the email.

That is an old scam...though it appears someone is still using it.

clicking on the link will usually send you email address and ip address to the scammer...and link you to a http (ip address at some china or euro address) www.where you think .com.. that looks the same.

Remember, your bank, ebay, paypal or anyone else would never send you anything requesting you logon to your account.

hey i just got that same thing about 2 hours ago. yeah if they dont say your whole name then it is a scam, paypal puts your whole name. another thing to do is when you get something like that, go to paypal and log in and if everything is normal then you know the e-mail was def a scam.

:withstupid: I don't like trying to figure out if it's a scam or not so I just go directly to their site etc.
