Does anyone out there have an opinion about any of the new MSD ignition modules on the market. I am thinking about adding one to my 351W and wonder if it's worth the money or should I go for a set of headers instead. What the heck, maybe both. Any likes or dislikes about the MSD models???

I have MSD products on all my vehicles, every part was worth every penny. The 6AL box is great, I recommend using 8.5 Superconductors with the box, so you can use all the added spark. You cant go wrong with MSD.

The 6AL is a good box but if the decision was between a set of good headers and the box id get the heders first. get the motor setup to benefit of that bigger spark by breathing easier before you get the spark up. Both would be the best <IMG SRC="/bigthumbup.gif">

I added an MSD 6 OFF-Road to my truck along with Jacobs 8.5mm wires, Denso Iridium plugs and a MSD Blaster coil.

It took me awhile to notice where the power was.. but I did know a little more smoothness across the board and a hair more UMMMMFFFF...

If your looking for power that you will notice... go with headers and exhaust mods.

I would do both exhaust and ignitions mods naturally.. because a strong ignition really does help, and your vehicle HAS to breath too. (You try running a mile.. while only being able to exhale through a straw)

OH.. and one other thing... just so you know.. stick with nothing bigger than 8.5mm wires. Anything more and it actually hampers performance.

I installed one on mine and love it. you really don't notice a huge jump but if you disconnect it after driving on it for a while you will notice. I was having an issue with a rough idle and disconnected the msd to see if it was the culprit and noticed a big difference.

The MSD 6 OFF-Road is suppossed to be sealed.

Specifically for the Off-Road purpose, however I seem to remember reading somewhere that they were ALL sealed...

No clue if they all are or not.
