I am planning to lift a school bus for a mud bog. I have done a lot of research about axels and it seems to all come back to the rockwells. I am on a budget build and where I am from 2.5 ton and 5 ton axels off of military vehicles are pretty spendy. So with that being said what are my other options for axels? I am not looking to go a million miles per hour in this rig I just want some beef. I plan on running some pretty good sized tractor tires if that makes any difference.

what size tires? you CAN run a d60 front and 14bff.. may not last though but still $1500 should get you a set off of CL..

I hear that rockwells are not expensive... so not sure the budget at hand...
