My cuzin had a International Scout about 5 years ago. We took it to the mud bogs in New London, Wisconsin. That vehicle was a good one. It made it through the 30-40 yard mud pit and right after that a log pile about 10 feet tall. Then he balanced it on a balanceing board and then had to balance 1 front tire on a log with a diameter on 1 foot. Then the frame twister, he made it through that but got stuck half way through the 30-40 yard tire pit. So a International Scout can go through a lot and it is a nice vehicle. He sold it to one of his friends and his friend still has it in his shed and dont drive it at all. I think that is a waste of a nice vehicle. Has anyone one of ya guys had an experience with a International Scout? If so tell me about.

Okay I own a Ram, I like big trucks (because I fit in them) not those little things (because i don't) anyway, I saw a friend of mine today out with his '63 Scout and he offered to take me a couple places. I have to admit, the short wheel base vehicle is nice. We found a couple large mounds of rocks and made are own creek crossings. Its all stock except for the roll cage, the spring over lift and the 34x9.50x15 TSLs that are on it. 4lo crawls through pretty much everything. If I could fit confortably in the drivers seat, Maybe i'd own one of those things too.........I doubt it, but it was still fun.

the good thing about the scout is they make great parts trucks.
-both axles will go under a jeep pretty easy
-the rear is most of the time a dana 44 and usually witha posi.(thats what i used in my front diff of my chevy0
-i believe they run dana 300 t-cases
- and they have a 4 cyl,6cyl,and 8cyl,motor
-and the 4 cyl.is exactly the same motor as the 8 just cut in half.same rods, pistons, head, etc etc
