I'm trying to figure you just how much of a difference in travel there is between an IFS frontend and a SFA front end. Does anyone have some good pics of IFS GM's flexing out? Preferably from the front. Thanks alot.
i have an article of the 4x4 Ram sfa vs the Ford 4x4 ifs and the ram had i believe 30 to 40 percent more flex on the the flex ramp.
and thats with the sway bar connected.
i have some but im not sure where the pics are right now cause my friends cleaning lady lost em. but as soon as i find em ill put em up. i dont know how much the front is flexing though
Gee, I have great shot of the rear of my 99 Z71 Sierra flexing out...but I've never had to disconnect my front sway bar to clear an obstacle yet, so the front isn't flexing at all. I'm going wheeling tomorrow, and I'll disco the sway bar and see if it makes any difference. I'll send you the pic I have now, and if there is any improvement in articulation with the disco I'll send you a comparo pic. Sound good?

I believe that picture is Heath Biggs in his Scorpion MK1. He won the Top Truck Challenge in 1998.
