Ok, I tried to do some searching but it won't load. I've been leaning toward getting one but does anyone know if there's a cheaper place to get them. Most places are saying 399. I know I need the part # 50005. But everything I've looked at is 399 plus shipping.
my bro is going get it for me for xmas but didnt want it to be like 450.

it's a little cheaper here: http://www.proficientperformance.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=PP&Category_Code=hypertech_programmer_dodge_truck-suv

I have one that needs 'reprogramming', but I have not had it done yet since Hypertech wants to charge me like $275 to do it. :wall:

I have read a lot of threads on here, and most people say that it isn't worth the money...you could get some HS RR or a fastman TB for less.
Aw, I thought the Hypertech one was the better one. I was originally going to get the Jet Performance and upgrade it but people said no it doenst do sh$t, g ofor the hypertech programmer.
For 339 (still $$) I'd hope itd do something...
I've got one i'll sell ya for $200.00 plus S/H. I had it for my 2001. I only had it for a less than a year. I reprogrammed the truck back to stock when I sold it and have the PPIII sitting in it's original box in my spare bedroom just waiting for someone to give it a good home. PM me if interested...

Don't know anything about these guys but thats one hell of a price. :bigthumb:
one thing that is wrong about the add they have on their is that not all programmers will do all the adjustments listed.
For instance, mine will not adjust the speedo, shift points, or tire size.

All it will adjust is the rev limiter and top speed limiter...and do the "power tuning" b.s.

FYI: I had the same problem with searching.

I was reading some older posts the other night about the Superchips programmer and people back then thought they were great. Due to the search issue, I didn't have any luck finding newer posts about them.

I was looking to buy one pretty quick too. Does anyone have comments?
What exactly does the PPIII do?

What are it's features and what can it do for me?

THANKS!
ebay dude, i got mine for 200 bucs and its perfect

Can you tell a diffrence?

Do you feel that it is worth it, performance-wise?

mine allows you to set the program for one of three settings to increase power or get better mileage. it allows you to set the reve limiter higher and make adjustments for tire size, so your speedo reads corrects and it shifts when it should. I think it did some other things, too, but those were the only settings I changed on mine.

I could have sworn that Hypertech owned Superchip... not sure.
Performance wise it does a desent job, it's not extreme but you can feel it.. I think spending 400 bucks for one is a little high for what ya get, if you can adjust the speedo and stuff it's worth it, but I cant do that with mine ( 98 and above only )...

I sell them, but I cant go much cheaper than everyone else... I havnt even sold any though, only Edge products to diesel guys ( tons of them )...
