I think the 98's where the first year the dropped the stabilizer to the bottom of the axle. Shouldn't be too hard at all to change that one.
My 97 has the stabilizer going from teh fraem to the draglink and used a tapered bolt at the draglink. Couldn't beat it out, heating it up didn't work. Ended up cutting it flush and drilling the rest out. Seems it is stuck in there good or easily pops out,nothing in between.
Jack up the front end of the truck to take the pressure off! I tried everything beating it out didnt work, pickling forks didnt work, heating it didnt work and I was about to drill it out when I jacked up the front end and tapped it a few times and it popped right out!!!
