Haha, not really "NEW", just new to me! Bought a 1998 2500 Dodge Ram Van. Paid 500 bucks for it. Has 167k miles on it. It needs a little body work on the passenger sides cargo doors, but other than that, it needs a new plenum gasket and coil. Dont think I did to bad huh? :bigthumb:

sounds like you got a good deal on it, and the best thing about it is, it's a Dodge :bigthumb:
you still taking the lift off the ram?
Wow that's a really good deal. Congrats on the find :bigthumb:

dropping it to a 3" lift.

Still going to use the Ram for pulling the trailer when needed. I am just sick of having all my tools, which is ALOT of them, stuff in my back seat... dont like the idea of getting in an accident only to be killed by some tool behind me impailing me!
i compleatly agree, my work van does not have one of those walls in it, i wanted to be able to recline the seat lol, now i am kinda tired of {expletive} hitting me in the head.
im thinkin 6" susp with 3" body with 37 14.50 nittos

what ya think?

oh and a crate motor and wheelie bars :rotfl: :flipoff:
lol you sure you are using that for work?

"Hey kids you wanna get in my van? I've got candy!" :flipoff:
I used to drive a 96 Dodge ram van 1500. It only had a V6 in it though. It had 230K miles on it with the original tranny and motor when the tranny started slipping, needed a new fuel pump, and then blew a head gasket. We never fixed it. It has been sitting in our yard for a while now.
ok, so I have some body work to do on this van, then its going to need a paint job, what ya'll think I should paint it? I dont want to get into putting company logos on it, as then it just opens a huge can of worms. (I am not a lic. contractor, as I think its a waste of money and just another one of those "taxes" I refuse to pay) And I dont need the advertising on the van anyway. SO, with that said, I am trying to decided if I should go professional and just leave it white, or if I should get creative? i was thinking it might look kinda cool painted Dodges new ManGo Orange with black rocker panels and put my H2 wheels on it (powder coated the painted areas on the rims black). I dont know, just tossings some ideas out there.
I dont know if I would do something crazy like orange, I like the patriot blue color dodge has out now. I just dont know how crazy I would be about someone coming to do work on my house with a bright orange van.
Just like you know you and I both would buy one of muchado's videos but that damn green thing he drives is too unprofessional.

I vote solar yellow or electric lime green. :D:
My vote is for black and pimp it out like the van on Old School. :bigthumb: That van was bad to the hub! It would be cool as all get out to have a van that would roast the hides like that van did.
:bulb: How about you keep it white, so you don't have to spend money on more paint to cover more areas. Then you only have to paint up the damaged areas. :slap:

you can tell she is the money wise side of the marriage! :silly: :D:
If its gonna be a work van, I wouldn't even worry about going all out on a fancy paint job. If you make it too nice, you're not gonna want to beat on it.
I hope not having a licsence doesn't come back and bite you in the a$$. I know in Flordia you get in some serious trouble for not being licsenced. Because of the hurricanes and stuff.
