Ok...so I took my poor old Ranger mud bogging, and got it bogged out in a puddle. It sucked in a bunch of water. I was able to expel the water from the cylinders, and got her to crank over. I let her dry off for a while, but she still not starting, and had to get an expensive tow home. I haven't looked at her yet today (thank god I don't have to be anywhere this week.

I haven't been able to check to see if I have spark yet. It's a 98, 4.0 V6, with distributorless ignition. I was gonna head out and pick up some starting fluid, and see if it might help give it a kick in the ass to start up.

before you try that, take the spark plugs out and crank it over. you may have fluid in one of the cylinders and could possibly hydrualic your engine. opening the cylinders will let the water out. then try starting it again.
