With the Dana 44 on the front and the Chrysler 9.25 out back can you get more than a 4.56 gear for the Ram 1500?

I think I have seen 5.13s for the Dana but nothing else for the Chrysler.

thanks.

I just did some research and came up with the same info as Jason. For the 1500's with a Dana 44 up front and Chrysler 9.25 in the rear, the lowest you could go with is a 4.56 R&P...unless you swap out the front and rear axles with more heavy duty ones...

4:56 are generally the limit for the 9.25. Ive heard of fitting 4:88's with grinding.
Get some Dana 60's and you can go as low as 7:17 :naughty:

:withstupid: I think it is the only company that makes them....I don't think there is any grinding to do since...well, you can't get 4.88s anyway except through special order. :silly:

Man, this is one old post. :bigthumb:

Its cuz that new guy snipermand asked a question about big tires and gears....it probably should have been in another thread or else started a new one specific to his application. Oh well, the info about 4.88s is out there now. :bigthumb:
