can you spin it freely by hand with it in 2wd?
front driveshaft spins

hmmmmmmmm...... i checked awhile ago but i dont remember. i will check tonight or tomm. it is really cold and raining outside right now, and i dont want to deal with cold,wet ice.

If you cant spin it in 2wd then your CAD is the problem. :bigthumb:
Unless you have a front locker, your driveshaft should spin freely in 2wd.
i can spin it freely in 2wd in park. it spins while i drive.
was the truck running? It needs to have vaccuum applied to the shift motor when you try this.

The front shaft will spin slightly from parasitic drag.
