Well, I answered my own question. I found a set for sale on ebay and had the guy measure them. 17 1/2 inches if anyone cares. I also found out they are only 165lbs/in which I figured out would compress about 9 inches on my Ranger. too soft. I really need the Rancho 6423 springs (3" XJ lift) which is 240lbs/in.

Well, if you're interested, I *might* be selling my front ZJ Rancho 3" springs. I'm not sure of the part number, but I'm sure it's easy enough to look up.

From what I've read, a ZJ spring will give an extra inch of lift on an XJ, due to the lighter weight of the XJ. So a 3" ZJ spring = approx. 4" of lift on an XJ.

If your looking for a stiff spring, these are the ones you want.

I want something softer,so I'm hoping to score a set of used RE springs soon.

I checked specs on those springs. The 3" Rancho ZJ spring(6413} is 18.44" free length and 240 lb/in. The 3"xj spring(6423) I was looking for is 18.00" and 240lb/in. So those are basically the same spring only .44" longer. I could use those if the price is right. I'm using these on my Ranger which has a 1.5 leveraging effect on the TTB setup. So these springs give me about 4" of lift and are compressed about 6" at ride height. This all equates to about 17" of wheel travel. Let me know if you want to sell those.
Thanks,
Brad
