i am researching an electric fan project. with several of the flex-a-lite fans there is a note in bold that states “Electric fans are not recommended as primary fans for 4-core radiator applications”. i do not understand what they mean by a 4-core radiator application. anyone???.

the 4 core is the number of tubes that are front to back in the radiator core. the more cores, the more surface area. i dont know why they say that, other than for just a disclaimer to just say, "we warned you" in case it didnt work. hot rods run electric fans all the time as a primary fan. i personally run one in my charger and have had no problems with it. make sure the fan comes with a shroud. look for the best cfm flow rating. go with at least a 2000 cfm. you could go with one big one, or a couple smaller ones.
