Does anyone know if exhaust cutoffs have any leaking problems?....i am thinking about adding one of these to my truck!!

Well mine dont' leak into the cab or anything but they are half way under my bed. YOu will probably also want to position them so they are in the airflow of the underbody.

It really depends on the brand you buy however, the backpressure will usually keep the valve closed when it is supposed to be.

i am planning on putting it right before the cat, so that i can basically run straight pipes....is this a good position?

oh sorry did not know you were talking about that type of cut off :(: But the guy that does my exahust work has a his cut off positioned in front of his cat and then has a pipe that exits under the rear door (Jeep Cherokee) witth block off there. He says it does wonders but I don't know if he's blowing smoke or not :):
