In the [email protected] gen II tech article my engine is easily viewable in the pics. Now through emails and a few forum posts some people have told me that my engine is just a weee bit dirty. I'll admit theres alot of mud under the hood from previous off road trips. But hey isn't this site called "pavementsucks" I use my truck for what its supposed to be used for and in the process that means gettin dirty. Obviously the exterior is much easier to clean than the engine.

I admit, I made a comment about the cleanliness of your engine compartment. I should also say that it was meant as a joke. Mine looks very much like yours does. Because yes I do take my truck in the mud. Pavement does suck and it's very interesting to see the reactions of people who own new four wheel drive trucks and do not use them. It's just funny that way. It's nice to know that i'm not the only one with a dirty engine. Also though, I heard that straight Simple Green works very well if you spray it in the engine compartment let it dry and spray it off, it should get rid of most of your dirt build up.
