I have two ELM327 dongles, one is a Mini version and the other has a bunch of lights and is longer. Both are BT versions. Somewhere I have a WiFi one, but it seems to have gone on vacation. Anyway, both of these "used to" work fine. I pulled them out the other day and hooked into two cars, a 2006 Ford Explorer and a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500. First off they connected up great the first time. After that I can't get either to connect up at all. I've tried several Android tablets with Torque (paid version), Torque Lite, and Car Scanner apps as well as my Samsung Note 8 phone. None of them make reliable BT connections with the dongles. Sometimes they "see" the dongle to pair, but more often than not they don't. I have not messed with the connection protoculs, both are using all defaults or "automatic" handshake transmissions.

Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.
