I beleave I've read that somewhere that they pull the tie rod ends out???

Anyways check this vid out, nice truck but the tires are pointing at each other almost :nono:
Just looks like there is something going wrong there.

There are some other vids of that truck and they all show the same front end action.

the centerlink on the trucks bend, weld a piece of small angle iron the whole length of it and it wont bend, and to save the tierods get "thread fillers" they cover all the remaining threads of the tierods and make them stronger, plus you got to crank your t-bars way down, if you get a procomp lift or the "updated" fabtech lift, they both have a dual idler arm set up and you will not bend the centerlink. here is a video of my friend Evan, 414 feet at 22 mph with 6 inch procomp lift and 35 inch terra grapplers. http://www.crankitupdiesel.com/Evan_summitville.WMV and here is the man that started CRANK IT UP DIESEL http://www.crankitupdiesel.com/kyle_willmington.WMV so heres to all that say you cant pull a lifted truck :fu: go here to se some more videos, http://www.crankitupdiesel.com/videos.html
Glad to see that there is a way to fix the weak fronts on the chevy i see way to many look like that first video, even at the drag strip the front's of the trucks do that when launched in 4wd.
They all do it, it's really not anything to worry about. If you drag race or are pullin, when you get done go someplace flat, run in reverse about 15 mile an hour for like 500 feet. Everything in the front should relax and go back to it's normal position.
Those guys at Crank It Up Diesel, has got some bad a$$ D-max's
Evan just went and picked up a chassis with drivetrain and what is left of a cab on it, i think she is gonna be a wicked truck when done.
Those D-max boys are mean! They are giving the Cummins a run for its money. Its tearing a buddy of mine in Ohio up because they keep kicking his a$$ in stock turbo classes. He's got a 94 Dodge with SBC DD, injectors, fuel plate, 215HP pump, o-ringed head & outrageous timing and it tears him to pieces to get beat by a D-max with a Edge box.

Of course it would me too!

A stick.
:wall: I knew that was coming. From the sounds of those videos, I'd say it was the Allison. Unless that guy can row gears like a mo' fo'.
i read that the new dmax is supposed to have 650 lbs. of tourque. and if the solid axle rumor is true, that will be an awesome combination :bigthumb:

At the flywheel. You will lose 20% of that through your driveline bringing that # to 520. Its amazing how many guys throw a box on around here, and then spout off I've got over 400HP or I've got 450HP. Then I ask "what all's been done?" "Oh just an Edge EZ" :twak: :slap:

Personally I have yet to see a Duramax pulling truck with a stick in it. I don't think anyone manufactures dual disk clutches for them yet though.

I was under the same impression, but the reason being that I asked...

i know the allison is junk, that is all it is, i wouldnt own one stock or modified, we grenaded the 3rd and 4th gear planetaries in one.

And now, albiet he doesn't own one, he's an advocate of these trucks. I guess you can have a quality automatic after all
the crewcab short bed has a ATS tranny in it, i aint sure about the red truck and Evans extended cab long bed is running a 6-speed and yes it does have a pulling clutch in it from MAC'S PERFORMANCE, check the site out for prices. me not liking automatics period has nothing to do with these trucks.

yep, i got scared (a little) when i first saw those numbers from the new D'max...then i realized it was at the flywheel...i was dyno'd at 620 Tq AT THE WHEELS. i still need more mods though...lol

Josh
The allison is junk i'll tell ya first hand cause I got one. It has potential though, if you got an extra 6 grand floating around in your pocket you can have one bad a$$ tranny. How many aftermarket companies do you see that are confident enough in a tranny to put a unlimited horsepower rating on it?.....not many
:withstupid: i go to college with him and another guy with a duramax that hates his allison, ladies shoulda got a 6-speed
I love my ALLISON.. Although I plan to stack with my new Boost Stick mod. So i am going to a Suncoast Level V Allison..

IMO..... ATS and the Co-Pilot is over priced for the Weekend warrior, but for FULL-ON it may be worth every ounce.
