Is there anything out there that I can get to protect my Diff's (pumpkins)? I was goofin around and smacked one against a rock this weekend. After almost crappin my pants because I thought I cracked it, everything is fine, just a little scratch and a big scare.

There are many different kinds of axle trusses. They are connected to both ends of the axle and come down under the pumpkin and protect it with a plate. I know 4 wheel parts wholesalers has some.

I know that there is also a contraption called a "Rockgaurd" that bolts to the diff using the bolts on the front of the housing. I am gonna assume that you have a Dodge with a d44 front end, and lucky for you, FourWheelParts has them for that diff. There is no better way to describe the part as anything other than "a roll cage for your diff housing". Check into one, last time I checked they were about 60 bucks.

Man, I am so glad I looked thru this site. Those protectors are awesome, the only bad thing is the commercial ones may not fit a large capacity cover like a Mag-Hytec.
