air lockers are better in that they are only engaged when you want them. So open on teh street, open most of the time off-road, and then when you want to go up the hill or over the rocks, you kick it on.
Downside is cost (double a Detroit), and they can be finiky on the install, and some are prone to leak air and not be reliable as to actually engaging when you tell it to.
