i am going to be getting the spacers and shocks put on , and the shock i am going to go with is the rancho rsx, and i was wondering if i can get the shock 2" taller than the rear shocks, so that i can make up for the spacer difference??

You dont need to get longer shocks. Rancho im pretty sure are good between 0 and 2 inches of lift. Id call rancho to be sure but i dont think you will need too.

you wont "need" to but you can probably get additional articulation with longer ones. as long as it doesnt interfere with your up travel. i agree with calling rancho and asking them.

will i be able to put anything bigger than 285/75/16 on a '98 ram 4x4 with 2" daystar spacers, maybe like a 295 or 305 or what ?

When you go the tire shop ask tell the guy you want the biggesttire possible and make em put on some tires of different sizes. tomake sure they dont rub
