well here's what happened...some girl rear-ended me at a stop sign....My bumoer is bent down pretty bad...what do you guys think about taking a high lift jack and bending the bumper back to original height.....I would have her insurance pay for it except for the fact she begged and pleaded me not to file.....I got her # though and we are goin out to dinner...anyways what about the bumper......

How hard did she hit you? The frame could bebent, the bumper brackets bent, mounting holes messed up, the bolts damaged, etc.

Have a receiver hitch? Did she hit it?

Check out the damage first before filing. If it is bad enough, it might not be worth the girl (unless you get serious, but then do you really want to get serious witha girl that will go out with anyone she rearends so they don't file? <IMG SRC="/board/images/smilies/dunno.gif">)

haha i love it, not the bumper part but the rest. I would think that the if bumper is bent pretty bad that it would me more wise to get a new bumper somethin like what Jason B. has. bending it back i think might make it more weak, you could bend it back for just in the mean time to make it look semi normal. but in the end its up to you if you wanna get a new bumper or not.

I think I would take it to a body shop and just get a quote. Theyre free! Then you can decide from there.

GO out to dinner let her buy then file.. That is what insurance is for. It is totally her fault for she should pay for it.

Have her pay your deductible and then file that you were hit in a parking lot and no one left you a note or claimed resonsibility. Just say your truck was with you cuz you had to help a friend move or something like that.

This way her insurance never finds out and no out of pocket money for you.

Guess it all depends on your insurance comapny. A good company will not drop you for a few minor claims. They know it is in their interest to keep you as you will more than likely pay off the claims with premiums inteh future, if you have not already paid 1,000 times the claim amount already to date.
