Ball Joint Retaining Clip

Ok, I just finished pressing in a ball joint and can't friggin get the retaining clip on. Anyone have an tips on it? quite frustrated right now and want an easy way to do it and someone must know something....

According to this http://www.pavementsucks.com/tech/balljoint.php the Ram doesn't use the retaining clip... :baby:

Ok, I should have specified it's not on a Ram. I've never done them on my ram so I didn't know it didn't have them. I'm doing it on my bros dodge avenger. But I figured I'd ask anyhow.
