Has anybody seen 8" coil springs that will fit a '98 Ram 1500? A friend of mine is checking on this one with me. A local 4x4 club member is rumored to have an 8" suspension lift on his Ram, i'd rather do this than add a body lift. Supposedly it's a 6" spring pack with a 2" block in the rear. I've found the spring pack and I'd assume that I would use my factory block. I can't seem to find the 8" coil spring for the front though. I would believe it would be possible for me to use a 5" coil and the 3" spacer that I have on it now, but I think I would rather have the spring if I could find it. Thanks

Ian,

There are numerous spring companies that fabricate custom coils and leaf packs. One popular company is National Spring Company. I've seen custom springs made for Dodge's up to 12"!!! <IMG SRC="/board/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif">

Ian,

I was just saying that I've seen coils made up to 12". They can fabricate any height you want. They don't have a website, but in my previous post, there is their phone number. If you are willing to wait, Skyjacker is coming out with a 7" Lift which is really radical!!! There is a post about this kit in the Dodge Forum...

Thanks Tunis, I must have misread that one. I though that was the new lift for the IFS '02 model, and BigT, I don't like the level look. I'd rather have the rear a little higher than the front, so when I haul a heavy load, I don't look toward the sky.

When my Ram retires from the pavement I'm gonna get some real tall coils and springs for it. There really aren't that many lift kits that go very high.

If I ever figure out this lift...and see the truck that it's currently on. I'll take pictures and post them to see if it's what you would like. When I see the Ram that it's on though, I'll be able to find out if I like it or not.
