I'm no disel guy but i would think you could some how drain out the whole system and fill it up with diesel? Unles regular gas can ruin anything in it?

Ok, I just got a 93 GMC 6.5 Turbo Diesel 4x4 witha 8' Myers plow. 84k on it. guy sold it to me for 500 bucks. The guys wife put gas in it instead of diesel and it quit it on him. He said just get rid of it so I figured I'd just buy it. Now what am I looking at having to replace? I know nothing about diesels.
Will this be worth doing all this or should i just strip it and sell stuff off it?

drain the whole system and replace the filters and refill with fresh diesel out of the pump.
