4" minimum on the 1500, 5" prefered. If you swap to 16x8" wheels with 4.5" of BS you can get away with 3" lift.

2500 should be able to fit them stock, with some rubbing at full stuff. daystars would fix that though.

Probably rub a LOT. With a 3" lift, the backspacing of the wheel determines if it will rub or not.

A 15" wheel has less backspacing, so the tires stick out farther, are more likely to rub on the fender.

A 35x12.50R16 on a 16x8 should fit fine, but the 15" wheel would rub in back of the fenders a LOT. I get rubbing there with my 315s, and pushing the tire out an inch would make it really bad.

I knew a guy with no lift running 15x8s with 33x12.5s and had no rubbing, so I guess 3" lift and 35s on 15x8 should be ok. Just my input I'd get some other opinions.
