my camshaft has two seperate timing marks. The book says there should be a "E" nearby and both do! The one that has the "E" furthest away seems to be the one that allows both valves of number one piston to be closed(no compression through 720 degrees of rotation of crank when using mark that book describes). With rotor pointing to number one spark plug the sidekick is no go. Advancing the distributer gear a notch gets the side kick stuttering but not starting. Advancing the gear again is a no go. Trying various combinations of timing the distributor to the crank and cam gears is a no go. I have built plenty of engines and this smacks of some special thing I'm not 'in the know' of. Anyone out there that can help?

You might want to try another web site more suited to suzukis their are not many people that deal with zuks on this one. Zuharrie .com is a really good one.
