14 bolt + ARB in dodge ram

I'm fully aware of what it's gonna take to make a 14 bolt work with the dodge ram, my question is, can the same theory be applied to the ARB? I guess the main question is, is the OD of the ARB the same as a factory 14 bolt carrier or a detroit? If I want to run an ARB, can I just have it machined down enough to fit the tone ring on?

Its possible, but looks alittle harder as the ARB doesn't have the small step built into the carrier. The stock carrier has a step in it already which needs to be machined alittle and a notched to fit the tone ring.

I think I may end up just running the detroit for a little while... I think I may be able to make do without a selectable rear.

I thought that the later HP Ford 60s were too narrow for Dodge trucks?
