I currently have 285/75/r16 (33.8x11.50) on the stock 16x6.5 wheels. i would like to upgrade to a 305/70/r16 (33.8x12) will a 12" wide tire fit on a 6.5 inch wide wheel? an 11.50" tire fits, havent had any issues.

I guess theoretically they would fit. I imagine the centers will wear pretty fast if you drive on the street very much.

If you are mounting them yourself, you can probably do it, but I doubt you can find a shop who will do it.

thanks il probly stay with the 285's. they already are pretty wide, the extent to the tip of the hub. iv had em on my truck for a long time now, and have worn evenly. your right, i didnt think a shop would mount them either.

most tire shops will do it, but its hard to, i had 305 nittos on my cummins factory rims and they will wear faster than normal so just a warning.
